About Me

Hi everyone! :)

My names Darren Straight and I'm a ICT Systems Manager and Technology Blogger with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Information Technology and FdSc Foundation Degree in Information Technology from the University of Kent. As well as these qualifications, I have also obtained other various qualifications including a Certificate in Basic Shift Management (Honours) along with a Certificate in Advanced Shift Management, both obtained at McDonalds.

While not at work, some of my hobbies include driving, exploring, swimming, listening to music, socialising and going out with my girlfreind though I guess that one's not really a hobby! ;)

When I'm doing none of these I am of course doing what I love, that is going to tech meetups, tech events, beta tetsing for companies like Microsoft (mainly in the MSN/Windows Live division of software and services) and blogging on my blog.

Some achievements I have obtained include being a Microsoft Student Partner, a Windows Live Butterfly Expert and being a student member of The British Computer Society (BCS).
