Last month I was contacted by Séverine a team member of Ziki and asked if I would like an invitation to join the Ziki Private Beta, I thought this was a nice offer to make so I accepted her invitation and signed up to Ziki straight away of course there was one condition that I had to accept, that was that I could not mention anything about Ziki to anybody, this of course included no blogging about it, but now that restriction is finally over and the doors to Ziki will opened this afternoon for the Ziki Launch.

Ok so you now know that today Ziki will be Released but what exactly is Ziki and what can it do for you that other services cant, well let me explain:

Ziki is a place where you can piece together your digital life, discover new content and connect with people, groups and businesses based on what you are interested in and looking for.

Lots of people make great contributions to the web, share similar interests and have complementary needs. Unfortunately, these people might never find each other due to the large number of blogs and social networking sites on the web, so that’s were Ziki comes into play, Ziki aims to make it easy for individuals, groups and businesses to find and be found – for networking, business partnerships, job opportunities, socializing and more.

Ziki accomplishes this but letting you create a Ziki profile where you can describe yourself and your interests using tags and also by gathering all your digital stuff in one place: blog entries, del.ici.ous links, flickr photos and more. You will also be able to invite your friends and family along to Join and use Ziki so you always keep in touch.

When you would like to find somebody just use the Ziki search engine and Ziki will soon find and recommend to you other Ziki members who share similar interests as yourself, you will then be able to discover their content and make new connections.
