It is a great game, if a little short. I would like to see that continue on because it’s a good basis for a story.

I’m having real trouble at the beginning – which must be sad. I’m stuck in that column question thing and keep being asked to look for a hidden clue…which I just can’t find. Help ?
Laura Jane May 29, 2006 at 10:14 pm
I’m begging you, someone please please PLEASE help me!! I’m stuck on the third puzzle, the one with the London Monument and I’m being told to find a hidden clue but I can’t find it! Please, I’ve been studying it for ages and I can’t find the clue, please please help!!!!
A desperate Laura x
Jo May 29, 2006 at 10:43 pm
Behind the puzzle is a map of london which you can only see in darkness with a razorlight. You need to pinpoint the location of the london monument on the map (this isn’t easy – but it will help if you compare it to a real map of london). Just keep clicking and you’ll find it!
By the way, does anyone know what the connection is between the ear and the sky on puzzle 8? I’ve tried to think of every logical answer!
Ed May 29, 2006 at 10:50 pm
For puzzle three, turn the light off and use the black light that you can pick up off the desk to reveal a map. Hope this helps! Ed

Laura Jane May 30, 2006 at 1:25 pm
Ok, now I’m baffled by the puzzle with the Russian map, puzzle six. She’s telling me to look for a clue about Ekaterinberg but I can’t find anything!!
Sarah lou May 30, 2006 at 2:01 pm
“what starts off small and goes on forever†referes the the connection of the rhymes, which is round. what starts on….and all that jazz, i the chart that you can eat think maths, numbers, 3.14….pi
the one with the russian map, is “U2”. just put that in.
clue/puzzle 2 is the lion and the unicorn, then its the stone of destiny.
now help me with 8! i put in big ear for the ear, now its asking about WOW!, i know what it is, she just doesnt like what i say, so what do i put?
Laura Jane May 30, 2006 at 2:20 pm
I put in The Wow Signal and she accepted it – try that.
Laura Jane May 30, 2006 at 2:36 pm
This is either the most complicated, annoying game ever, or I’m just plain stupid cos I’m stuck again.
What starts off small and goes on forever, and has something to do with circles?
Sarah lou May 30, 2006 at 3:31 pm
laura jane, put in “round” that links the rhymes together then “pi” which is ‘goes on forever’ – and is linked with pie chart
Sarah lou May 30, 2006 at 4:06 pm
wahooo im done!
thankyou laura janr it worked a treat!
if i can help anyone i will.
joe May 30, 2006 at 4:41 pm

Laura Jane May 30, 2006 at 7:35 pm
Sorry I’ve done the SOS one now, just stuck with how the Wow signal has something to do with the pictures but I’,m working on it!
Thanks everyone for your help! x
Steven May 30, 2006 at 7:49 pm
I’m stuck when she’s asking for one of the other clues saying something about Ekaterinburg ….. GAH Help, i was on a roll till i got this clue
Jo May 30, 2006 at 7:51 pm
Type in SOSUS in the search engine and you’ll get ‘sound surveillance system’. Does anyone know what the constellation is on puzzle 8? I know its the photo with an ‘eye’ but I can’t find the constellation.
Laura Jane May 30, 2006 at 7:55 pm
The Ekaterinberg one is U2, Sarah Lou helped me out with that one earlier – I got really stuck there too!
Steven May 30, 2006 at 8:16 pm
Ok the u2 ref worked great, but i need to know where i put the kings final position in tal’s game. She tells me i need to find it out but i dont have a box to write it in
Steven May 30, 2006 at 8:22 pm
Nevermind, it is obvious, you find it on the map for the third symbol.
Thanks for all the help
Jo May 30, 2006 at 10:04 pm

How do you solve puzzle 8 – the bit about the constellation? I can’t work out what it is.
Gail May 31, 2006 at 1:01 pm
Hi i solved the 3 puzzles in the book, put in the 3 symbols – what happens next? Heard the phone call but not sure where I’m to go, any help?
Sarah lou May 31, 2006 at 1:31 pm
oh, gail have you opened the breifcase? and have you opened the box?
Sarah lou May 31, 2006 at 1:35 pm
ed, puzzle 8, starts with ‘big ear’ then ‘the wow signal’. go turn the light out and use the uv light, it shows a poem, wich is a referance to robin hood, this links to ‘sagattarius’ which is the top left consterlation. this is the answer! hope it helps. (type in whats in the ‘…’ and it sould work)
Sarah lou May 31, 2006 at 1:36 pm
joe, how far have you got, have you done 3 puzzles?
Gail May 31, 2006 at 3:15 pm
Opened the jar/box with the 3 symbols i got, but now cant reopen it to see what was there. Cant open the briefcase as I don’t know the code.
Laura Jane May 31, 2006 at 3:30 pm
I’ve completed it, what a relief!! Bit of an anticlimax at the end though. Was hoping for a bit more! Thank you all for your help x
Lena May 31, 2006 at 4:23 pm
Can anyone help me please on question 4? The stupid women is asking about a clue which help narrow down the location, and I haven’t got a clue!
Any help would be appreciated!
TY
Lena May 31, 2006 at 4:25 pm
The clue for the briefcase, is the amount of green books on each shelf on the right hand side of his desk.
He mentions it in his blog on the hidden history site.
Sarah lou May 31, 2006 at 6:38 pm
gail, like lena said the books on the shelf gives you the code for the breifcase. in the case is a key and a file containg 3 more puzzles. the key opens the draw and there is 3 more puzzles in there too, these have the codes for the 2nd puzzle box on the table.
Sarah lou May 31, 2006 at 6:41 pm
lena, puzzle 4, shes anoying isnt she!
put in ‘lincoln’, this then leads her to say something like ….”of course, sundown, lincoln nevada” you look this up on the map and it goes on from there.
Georgie May 31, 2006 at 9:03 pm
im confused…in puzzle 4 the woman sez there is a connection between the poem and the numbers and that will find the symbol…im probably jus being reli stupid but i jus cant fnd it! please help!
Georgie May 31, 2006 at 9:21 pm

Sarah lou June 1, 2006 at 12:09 pm

Sarah lou June 1, 2006 at 12:10 pm
bob, what is she asking specifically?
bob June 1, 2006 at 2:13 pm
something in the rhyme must give us an idea of constellation contains the right symbol. but what is it?
Sarah lou June 1, 2006 at 3:55 pm
it is sagittarius, check the spelling! it then then its the top left box
