Earlier today I received an email from someone called Archana inviting me to check out Ugenie and well as I had not heard of Ugenie before I thought I would take a look.

And well it seems like Ugenie is a powerful new online shopping aggregator to help you find the best price on books, music, movies, and video games. You can shop for a single item, or customize a bundle of items.

A bundle being when you’re shopping for more than one item, sort of like a shopping list. Ugenie can suggest bundles or you can make your own. You just pick out the products you like and add them one-by-one to your ugenie Shopping List. You can even import your Amazon wishlist to find your favorite products.

Either way Ugenie is set to compute the bottom-line price (including shipping, taxes, and discounts). Ugenie finds the cheapest way to buy the exact items you want from one or more merchant sites.

Ugenie was built by Krishna Motukuri, co-founded Amazon India, former Senior Program Manager at Amazon Harish Abbott and Yahoo! India founder Bharat Vijay. The company received $5 million in funding from BlueRun Ventures and Sierra Ventures this summer.
