PC World has today announced its new desktop simplifying PC interface L@unch. The interface will initially be setup on all desktops, netbooks and laptops that PC World produces, which includes all models from brands including Advent, Ei Systems and Philips.

In response to feedback from customers, PC World has created a new user experience on Windows PCs. Many customers have admitted struggling with the current layout and slow PC performance due to the number of applications running at one time.

Dave Ward, Senior OEM Buyer at PC World, said:

“L@unch has been designed to remove clutter and creates a clean, easy to use desktop environment. Initially we’re rolling this out across our brands but there is a view to expand this across our range of laptops, netbooks and desktops sometime in the future.

“At the end of the day our mission is to ensure our customers are happy with what they purchase from us and we feel that by simplifying and streamline the running of their PCs helps us achieve this goal.”
