Minecraft Beta 1.8 Adventure Update Released

Im sure you Minecraft Addicts know by now, but the Minecraft Beta 1.8 Adventure Update was released for download this morning not long ago. If you play on my server YAMS (Yet Another Minecarft Server) please remember to read the latest info here:

I will update the server to 1.8 as soon as bukkit is released and I’ve had time to implement it with the correct plugins. 
Minecraft Beta 1.8 Prerelease v2 Download

This “Minecraft Beta 1.8 Prerelease v2″ post as quoted below was posted 2 hours ago on the minecraft forums at this link here by Opeth. This prerelease/leak is certainly giving me some insight into how I need to prepare my minecraft server for 1.8 and beyond. My server is called YAMS (Yet Another Minecraft Server) and the ip for it is: 85.236.102.40:31665
Due to a huge increase on new players joining, from time to time we may whitelist the server. If you try and get on but you are not whitelisted please be sure to sign up to the forums at http://www.darrenstraight.com/minecraft/index.php?/forum/11-introduce-and-whitelist-yourself/ where you can read our welcome topic and introduce/whitelist yourself, pretty much all we need from you is your’re Minecraft Username. If you have facebook you can use that to sign in to the forums
Of course we are still on 1.7.3, so if it’s just some quick fun (not a community) you want then 1.8 is for you!!! It is the weekend Enjoy!
As with major version releases, prerelease copies are normally distributed to trusted users and developers for bugfix testing and to enable mod updating in time for the official release.
A version of the prerelease has been publicly distributed by one of the groups.
