Random question of the weekend, it's early as more people mightsee it: Why are current day keyboards layed out the way they are?

They made it like that so we could type faster by putting the most used keys in the most easy to press, and keys like z in places that aren't as easy to press. And it helps people post the same status 3 times in a row
