More than a year ago YAMS had its first minecraft coliseum / colosseum built.

At first we were just spawning mobs inside and fighting them.

Then I discovered MobArena, this plugin changed everything, we could now fight and win prizes in our minecraft built coliseum! However eventually the plugin broke, since then the plugin has been half working as it’s no longer fully supported by the original developer.

So a year on... the plugin is still somewhat unsupported but I'm not going to let that stop us having fun, this Sunday the 22nd of July 2012 @ 7:00pm London BST ([url="http://mytimeconverter.com/"]http://mytimeconverter.com/[/url]) The new improved YAMS Coliseum v2 will finally open its doors with a game of MobArena to follow shortly after you have all looked around.

I hope to see you all there, or at least as many as possible. Be there or be made a slave!

Well I promised a little something for those of you that helped me get black wool as requested in the "[url="http://www.darrenstraight.com/minecraft/index.php?/topic/2359-baa-baa-black-sheep-official/"]Baa, Baa, Black Sheep [OFFICIAL][/url]" topic, so what better way then giving you something fun to play with after all that hard work. I present to you Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots.

All you have to do is press your buttons which makes your robot punch the other robot, for every punch that isn’t blocked by the other players robot punches a block of wool is dispensed, this wool as a chance of landing on a your enemies pressure plate, if this happens then their head ops up and you win the round.

As no location was decided for the animal farm or at least told to the community who needed something to do and to stop them having to have their own house animal farms (which I dont agree on), I've taken it upon myself to step in and choose a location. This new animal farm has been built inside a mountain and can be found at the end of the jungle region - turn right after you come down the station stairs.

After our scientists recently discovered portal to another world. The resident mystics, not to be outdone, decided to consult the auguries. Since they couldn't find any goats (luckily) they instead decided to visit the Oracle of Spawn Town.

The Oracle has predicted that another portal will open up and this world shall be a flat land consisting of nothing but dirt and grass. The Oracle's prophecy then went on to say "The land should not be so and for it to remain flat will be an affront to the Admins. A section of this land should instead float up from where it is and upon that floating isle shall a castle be built. This land should then be called Laputa".

As with last time spread the word for the Oracle has spoken.

Today I would like to congratulate ryanfenton (Ryan) and Captain_Marbles (Nick) on their promotions to Moderator.

Ryan has been helping on quite a few projects recently and is always there on hand when there’s either a tour to do or he needs to be used as a guinea pig, likewise with Nick, he’s always friendly and helpful and has done some great videos of YAMS.

I wish them all of the best and I look forward to working more closely with them as they still have a lot to learn, id especially like to see them get more involved in working with everyone in the community, not just the usual regulars.

Please wish them luck too.
