darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted October 14, 2011 As you may have heard recently, Notch stated that the moon and sun rises in the NORTH (a bug) and that it will in 1.9 rise in the EAST (like we thought it did and should). Well latter today I shall be updating the Essentials plugin which provides us with the commands /getpos and /compass among other things, and there's now been a change:
/getpos and /compass are now rotated by 90°, because notch said, that the sun rises in the north
So what does this mean for YAMS, we’ll all the station direction Bearings and anything else such as the announcements for the test build area will be out by 90 degrees. So if anyone wants to help set signs right again I’d appreciate it!! NORTH = WEST EAST = NORTH SOUTH = EAST WEST = SOUTH

Captain_Marbles 249 Report post Posted October 14, 2011 Hmm. We could do this in some sort of order, like assigning groups of stations to individual people to change. Another job for Trainee CSOs? Also, any unnamed stations we happen to come across can be named. Doing 2 jobs at the same time!

Nevets 91 15 Report post Posted October 15, 2011 I have no idea how I never noticed the sun rose in the wrong direction, although I guess that's cause I used the sun to set my directions lol. I did wonder why West was F: 0, but I didn't think the sun was wrong lol.

Captain_Marbles 249 Report post Posted October 15, 2011 I'll see if I can go through Tyler's list again and change all the bearings on those stations. I might not be on much this coming week because it's the last week before half term so I've got a few Controlled Assessments / Coursework to get through at school. I'll be on for most of Friday, so I'll see what I can do then.
