i think that it would a good idea to make a map of YAMS. this would be good for begginers a would be awesome. there are several things that do it and there's a list of some on the minecraft wiki here:

I used to provide maps (cartographs) a long time ago!

Maybe a more up to date virtual tour would help:

i think a visual representation of where the towns are would be useful, we could use signs on a wall. that way people could still have fun discovering things on the way to where they want to go.

There's also a sort of directory at the bottom of spawn tower though it probably needs to be updated as well.

what about just outlining the towns and make the rest of the map black.
I had thought about that already!
But really.... people can just explore... it's much more fun... you get more of a WOW Factor when you find stuff instead of seeing it from above and dont forget we have CSO's to show you around too and load of other community members who I'm sure can help you if you are getting lost! I know a lot of server provide cartographs and even dynamic maps and such, but they were are not like all the other servers we are YAMSWS! Good luck guessing the WS!
