Mumble

Recommended Posts

Hey all!,

I keep trying to get on mumble but I cant even download it. :( I think it is my security or the fact that I have an old laptop. If it is the security, I don't really want to get rid of it. :/
Thanks,
Dale

Hey dale whats the problem, could you be more specific what happens when you try and download it from:

http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

Windows: 1.2.3 (Stable) - direct link:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mumble/Mumble/1.2.3/mumble-1.2.3.msi?r=http%3A%2F%2Fmumble.sourceforge.net%2F&ts=1306880302&use_mirror=mesh

Mumble server link on:
http://www.darrenstraight.com/minecraft.php

Though mumble is down at the moment:

We will be immediately rebooting the machine mumble2-uk to potentially resolve an issue preventing one of the master servers starting.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
I think I can help Dale ;)
I take it you computer has issues with downloading .exe/.msi files?
Security gone mad :P

If I'm right this will fix! :lol:

try this;

1. Download this text file:
My link - (Its 14.5MB in size)

2. Rename the File
(change the .txt part to .msi)

If you cannot see the .txt at the end of the file name after having downloaded follow these steps;
Windows XP:
- Select the Tools menu (on windows explorer)
- Select the Folder Options item.
- Click on the View tab.
- In the Advanced Settings box uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.

3. Run your new file!, It should now be called 'mumble-1.2.3.msi'

Try that Dale :D
Hope it works for you :P

Edit: There is a way of doing this without downloading the text document, but that means a very long post of code :s
