I'd imagine so, as there won't be any light, but mobs only spawn when you're around and the chunk is loaded. I can't wait to rig my house up and install lightswitchesWill mobs spawn if the lamps are off when you leave the house?
If you think about it, you're reading this from the future. Greetings from the past ![]()

So this one, has some pretty big changes in it!
Redstone Lamps sound fun... Dicuss this snapshot!

redstone lamps look really cool and could be really fun for people that do redstone, but i do hope that spawn tower does not hit the new 256 limit that would really stink to climb down unless we did the freefall into water thing.
Oh and i also have been looking at vids and stuff and the height will be able to be converted into any map! so even when we do the move when 1.2 comes out we will have the 256 high cap. also we may have to make sure that the towns are away from NPC village chunks, less we want a ton of villagers spawning in player houses and crashing in them at night

Oh, wow. I didn't think about NPC villagers spawning in our houses! But don't two villagers have to fall in love and have a villager baby like mob animals do? If they can't get in our houses, they won't have their babies there, right?
well in videos people making houses near/on village areas are being counted as a "empty house" even if they live in it! luckily this is still beta so there may be a way to thwart that from happening though i doubt it. Easy way for them to do it would be to put some coding in for beds in the house mean that a player is occupying it or something along those lines... just be careful in that new world guys lest you would like a Roomie!
