madrad 362 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 Date:- Saturday 3rd March On the 3rd of March YAMS will be hosting the first Central Park Quintathlon. It will involve getting lost, boats, digging and killing. We will start the event with a simple race. At 11:00am GMT contestants will enter the maze in a race to the center (the maze will be changed before hand). Next up will be a good old fashioned boat race with a slight twist. From 14:00 GMT contestants will be sorted into a double elimination bracket for a 2 lap race around the M25 boat race course. Our third event will get you digging with your hands. From 17:00 GMT we will hold a double elimination tournament of 1 on 1 Spleef. This will be a YAMS style spleef (hands only) Finally contestants will enter the pvp arena for a fight to the death! At 20:00 GMT contestants will be sorted into the bracket before running a 1 on 1 best 2 out of 3 fight. Each round will allow the contestants to use different weapons. After each event we will present the Diamond, Gold and Iron medals to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. After all events are completed we will host a closing ceremony where a prize will be presented to the top 3 contestants and the top contestant of the whole Qunitathlon will be imortalised. Notes: A double elimination tournament will put through the winner to the next round. The looser will then recieve a chance to continue. The times are as follows (only GMT are confirmed) Maze Race:- 11am GMT (3am PST, 6am EST, 10pm AEST) Boat Race:- 2pm GMT (6am PST, 9am EST, 1am AEST) Spleef:- 5pm GMT (9am PST, 12pm EST, 4am AEST) PVP:- 8pm GMT (12pm PST, 3pm EST, 7am AEST) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

After an agonising wait we had our first victor of this new maze, Fugative_Jackel. The full scores of this round are as follows 1st Fugitive_Jackel 2nd Ryanfenton 3rd Mademo 4th Namscupcake Making the Quintathlon points as follows 1st 5 Fugitive_Jackel 2nd 3 Ryanfenton 3rd 2 Mademo 4th 1 Namscupcake [u][b]Round 2 - Boat race[/b][/u] Six competators entered the boat race and after a double elimination tournament we had our victor, who managed to out steer and out last all the other competetors, Darrenstraight. The outcomes of this round were 1st Darrenstraight 2nd Ryanfenton 3rd Mademo 4th Captain Marbles Making the Quintathlon points as follows 1st 6 Ryanfenton 2nd 5 Darrenstraight 2nd 5 Fugitive_Jackel 4th 4 Mademo 5th 1 Captain Marbles 5th 1 Namscupcake [b][u]Round 3 - Spleef[/u][/b] Next we had a stagering twelve competators turn out for the Spleefing section of our tournament. After an hour including 1 rule change after the first round we found ourselfs with a Spleef champion, Captain_Marbles. The top 4 positions were as follows 1st Captain_Marbles 2nd Namscupcake 3rd 1mm0 4th Darrenstraight Making the Quintathlon points as follows 1st 6 Captain Marbles 1st 6 Darrenstraight 1st 6 Ryanfenton 4th 5 Fugitive_Jackel 5th 4 Mademo 5th 4 Namscupcake 7th 2 1mm0 [b][u]Round 4 - PVP[/u][/b] Coming into this round we found ourselves with a close run with three people in joint first place. This event attracted eight competators that were finally whittled down to the final match between Murasna and Captain Marbles. After a grewling match Captain_Marbles survived the PVP to win this round. The final positionings for the PVP were 1st Murasna 2nd Captain_Marbles 3rd Darrenstraight 4th Fugitive Jackel With the final round over all the scores were tallied up with our leader board as follows 1st 9 [b]Captain Marbles[/b] 2nd 8 Darrenstraight 3rd 6 Fugitive_Jackel 3rd 6 Ryanfenton 5th 5 Murasna 6th 4 Mademo 6th 4 Namscupcake 8th 2 1mm0 So congratulations go to Captain Marbles for this first place victory and becoming the first YAMS Central Park Quintathlon Champion. When questioned later by journalists Captain_Marbles stated that he was going to Party.
