Build Challenge #1 - Metropolis [OFFICIAL]

Citizens of YAMS

Recently we have discovered a new world connected to our own and a portal is expected to appear on 8th April. Our group of elite scientists estimate that we will only be able to build there for 2 weeks. After that our scientists believe that the connection between our worlds will make us effectively ghosts only able to see and not able to place anything.

We plan to take this opportunity to build a Metropolis, a city that could be out of real life. The city should have a road system and can include skyscrapers that reach the limit of our atmosphere.

There should also be some sort of public transport system. An example for this could be an underground rail system (styled on the London Underground) or an above ground one (like the Nolan Gotham City)

Tell everyone that you know to be sure to help out with this project and in the time before the portal opens gather teams, gather resources, plan what you will build...Get ready and Spread the word!

I personally really want to see a good transit system in this build, hence why it's been included I would like to see it go through high rise buildings and such, I'm thinking futuristic. id also like to see water canals and bridges and parks amongst the buildings.

The idea of this build challenge is that you all get to help build something working together with very little restriction on creativity (be adventurous), of course try and stick to the build theme and don’t purposely offend anyone. This is your chance to show us that you can all be trusted and actually do want to work together, if all goes well expect more build challenges...

So good luck everyone, start posting your ideas and designs of what you want to see, just remember to bring your own bio hazard suit on the 8th, you never know what could be on the other side!

Survival...you have until the 8th to get a nice store of materials...but as a suggestion get many people helping to gather and build and develop a nice PUBLIC store of materials

Also worth mentioning that everyone should get equal rights on helping build and not just build alone! Everyone should be helping each other and feel like they can help instead of just one person saying we are building this and that.

I would realy love to work on the subway transit system ...If i have time with exam revision and such i know a few others will be doing the same and scraping Time on YAMS and revision

I've made an awesome skin especially for the event, though I'm saving it for the 8th

you can still transport items between the worlds. We are just trying to get a nice sized Public store so the community can start running.

So come on theres not long left now and we have no way near enough materials... everyone you see in game tell them about it, tell them to collect materials and come on here and join in.... no ones even posted any plans yet!!!!

If nobody has any objections I'd like to work on some sort of Metropolis town hall (Depending on the circumstances on which we'll be spawned into the world). I don't know if we're just spawning into a new world or if we need to level a large area. But I've always wanted to model a building off of Thomas Jefferson's design of Monticello. I'd like to lead this build but of course if anyone wants to help they can. Picture of building in link below.
