Anything by
- Terry Pratchett - Specifically Night Watch, Monsterous Regiment, The Truth but read any and all.
- Piers Anthony - I would perticularly suggest the Xanth novels and On A Pale Horse
- David Eddings - The Belgariad and Mallorean are a must for anyone to read
- Star Wars: Republic Commando novels by Karen Traviss
- Issac Asimov's robot short stories, perticularly Victory Unintentional
- JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit
- Rick Riodan's Percy Jackson & Heroes Of Olympus books
- Alexandre Dumas' The Count Of Monte Cristo

republic commando is good.

if you're going to read the hobbit read the special editon hardback illustrated version as the pictures are amazing.

The fire within series is good, as is the inheritance cycle, Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl.
We do have a lot in common.
The same earth, the same air, the same sky.
Maybe if we started looking at what's the same instead of always looking at what's different,
...well who knows?

hmm...
I don't know the names of these seiries but the seiries that beginis with a book called 'Wolf Brother' is quite good.
The seiries that starts with 'The amulet of samarkand' is also good.
Don't know if there are any other books in this series but 'The strange affair or spring heeled jack' is a good book on its own.
'Chaos walking' is a good series (so I've heard) and 'the Hunger Games' is a brilliant book.

- Stephen King's Dark Tower series is amazing (Not horror but fantasy/scifi. Just don't read the last chapter of the last book
I also openly wept at certain points in this series) - Anne McCaffrey's Pern Series is astonishingly good writing (Biggest twist in a series EVAR!)
- Tad Williams' Otherland series is to die for

- World War Z is also very good and you might want to read it before the movie comes out
- Almost anything by David Eddings or David Gemmell (Eddings if you are new to fantasty because his writing is easy to read, Gemmell if you are already versed in the genre because his characters are so believable and his battle scenes are very well written)

Any of David Weber's books.
Dune, by Frank Herbert. (Don't read the sequels).
The Foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov
Titanicus by Dan Abnett.
You may be able to tell - I'm a sci fi fan.
