I always had an idea that maby one day we can make a capture the flag arena where everyone can join in. Everyone would get a bow, a sword, and a stack of arrows. And we would use wool instead of flags. You can only get one wool which you would have to bring to your team's base. Then you would have to go again and get another piece. Which team gets the opposing team's flag 3 times would be the winner. It would be Blue VS Red and everyone would have to have appropriate skins for the team they are in. Thanks for your time

This has been asked before,make sure you do a search before posting... However it was the previous world so I'll somewhat let you off!

Anyway down to buisness, I've said many times before that I'm ok with this, we just need to go ahead and do it!

CTF Does require PVP, currently PVP is not enabled server wide, however we can setup a specifc area so no problem there.

Also people would have to either set home in their teams area or have 2 warps, to get bak quicker if they die, they both have advantages and disadvantages, I think the set home option is the better option, stops people/warping to the other teams base, I can also block everywhere but the teams base from being able to use /sethome so no running quick to somewhere and /sethome hehe

Ok so area, I'm wondering if we could do some sort of trial in the blocky arena in the park?... I would have to setup regions etc but won't take me long.

If goes well we could do one of two things, either combine blocky + PVP + CTF as I do think PVP works better in the blocky arena.

Or we can create a separate place somewhere of my choosing of course. I would quite like a temple design or something...so it's a bit more fun then just running from point A to B in a straight line.

Ohh and by the way, here's a video posted in the other thread, just worth a thought for the other thing I said about combining pvp + blocky + CTF.

If a test in the park proves to go well, then if a separate areas is choosen for Capture The Flag, then you could alternate the theme every so often, here's an example of a Christmas one. They have plugins, don't want that but the some of the design is nice and you dont need plugins for that.

Thats a great idea but I was thinking maby we can put portals in the different towns and make a cool theme for each town or something like that. I'm not the specialist here so you decide. I also really like the other ideas.

The more portals The more worlds ,the more lag so that wouldn't happen

As you know, already talked to you this morning, I won't be doing this it's better to have one central one then multiple ones... but first we need to do some testing in the park and see if people will actually enjoy it before we make a bigger one. Give me some time.

Ok so before we make an official CTF arena I thought we could have a go a designing a few things based upon it. If you would like to have a go at trying to build something for it please head to the park where I have removed the maze so we have an area for doing some testing!

Please dont up loads of room, I'm just talking about small stuff here and there...

For example I've built a little flag stand.. you could try building little obstacle things, bunkers, secret areas etc...

Anything you build please keep it above ground no digging down into the dirt please.

Once we have lots of ideas in this area, we can then go ahead and build the real arena, in this same place so we can see how things go.

I have built a couple small structures and I feel a couple others need to be built by ppl other than me because I hate being the only one. I really want to see this happen and I hope y'all do to.

Thanks I would start doing more things to the arena but I have exams right now and I dont really have time to get on the computer. But I'll be there at the weekends. Thanks for the help again.

I think the test run was ok, but determining what happens at the end of the round, like where the weapons go and that every one goes back to staging area needs more clarification, teams are also hard to determine.

The thing is people don't read!! A log of questions everyone was asking was clearly explained on the signs... I also don't plan to keep stocking the chests with stuff as we would be doing that forever that's why people need to set their own rules etc before entering.

So we did do some testing yesterday. It was ok, but there was some confusion at the end of rounds as to resetting the map to play again. It was still great fun though, and I put together this little video with some highlights
