Anti-Build Challenge #1 [OFFICIAL]

Recommended Posts

From the desk of the head foreman at the Public Build Warehouse
Sir it has come to our attention that current stocks in the warehouse are running dangerously low. We request that something is done soon to rectify this.

Mr H Foreman
Public Build Warehouse
After this message was received an eilite group of staff got together to discuss what can be done.

As it is the build challenges that have stripped the stores of their resourses we will have an Anti-Build Challenge to solve the problem.

On the 2nd June a portal will be opened to a secret location in the mining world. In this location will be a mapped out area which is to be stripped of all resourses which will all be donated to the Public Build Warehouse. This portal will only be open untill aprox 10pm GMT on the 3rd June so there will be just over a day to strip this area of everything.

Happy Mining :)

will TNT work? as i've got about 2 stacks of gunpowder that need using up.

TNT Mining can be fun.. but just that it's fun... see below as to why not good idea:

Mining using TNT might be faster than mining by hand but it is impractical for gathering resources; about 70% of the blocks are completely destroyed in the process. In addition, TNT is not very effective when used to mine cobblestone and ores and is only time efficient when mining blocks with a low damage resistance, such as dirt or sand. The items needed to make TNT are quite valuable and may be a waste of resources if nothing is gained out of it. Nevertheless, TNT can be a part of efficient mining techniques - as the means of removing unneeded layers of blocks and exposing underlying layers. It can also be used for clearing large volumes for underground building projects.

We want to gather as much as possible right?

I have quite a large stock of most items in my home so if a staff member would like to take a look feel free to take any iron etc that you may need for tools. Please only staff members look inside my chests.

If it's resourses you need then quarrying is a really great way to get all the resourses in one area, sure it doesn't look tidy but we can fence them off and cover them up afterwards.
