Wow where has time gone? Nearly a year ago, on the 18th of September 2011 Mojang gave us Minecraft Beta 1.8 The Adventure Update, a major update to Minecraft focused on fighting, exploration, and adventuring.



But how many of you remember what it was like to be a fighter, explorer or adventurer in YAMS first world? Yes there was a world before the one we are in now! We have been in the current one for nearly 8 months now.

The poor world was struggling to keep up with the times but still survives in the archives collecting dust. It’s time to uncover it for an adventure back in time to the last days of YAMS 1st world.

This Saturday the 15th of September 2012 at 12:00pm BST (click here for your time) the adventure begins for at least 24 hours.

You can join in at any time! There will be things to do throughout the 24 hours.

How to get there will be explained on the day, latest news of what you can do will be posted here.

The YAMS archaeological society has uncovered what it believes to be the old spawn tower on the wild west desert just outside of spawn town, we invite you to come and see it for yourself!

Please find attached an old map, not everythings included but hopefuly it will help you see what things we have built in the past, hopefuly giving you some creative minds to do even better in this world!

• Splinterz has a spleef arena
• Halloween area is worth a visit as I want to do another one this year.
• All the towns!
• Enderville has a ice hokey stadium converted to blocky game.
• The maze is something you really should try!
• Lyoness Inn the underwater hotel was never finished, but its been opened up so go and see it, its massive!

Theres just so much I could list for you to see.....

I suggest asking someone with knowledge if theres something specific you want to see or do!

I will open up this topic so you can chat.

Not to be too mean but I would not have approved Bartys house! Sorry barty, nice first attempt (her first time playing mc) but it has quite a lot wrong with it, its like the house that jack built! But instead of jack... its Barty! haha!

At least youre somewhat better now!

Well that's that..... you have had the world for 24 hours! Time to put it back in the store room!

Ok ok.... I guess I can leave it open for a little bit longer! And as I'm so nice, when you're in that world, try the following command:

/fly

Please dont abuse it by going into areas that you really shouldnt be in including peoples home and dont use it to cheat at the maze and such, I will know and will ban you!

Well thats that, it's all over now, I've been fair leaving the world open for nearly 48 hours but its time to say goodbye!
