blaney 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 My son who is very computer savvy is doing things online that Im worried about and I would like to check up on. Does anyone know of a FREE keylogger that is hard to find, for example, if he were to look for it and try to uninstall it. Some Internet buddies recommended some like Amac Keylogger(kelogger for mac), but it seems not free and its price may be too expensive for me. Have any more informative suggestions for me? Thank you
666darius666 13 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 [s]I would suggest you leave this forum and never come back [/s] *EDIT BY DARREN: Was there any need to say this?* you could get in serious trouble by doing that buddy
grindboy 61 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 A less illegal method would be to turn logging on in your router settings. This way the sites he visits will be logged. Keylogger's although not illegal in and of themselves (country dependant) would run afoul of wiretapping laws. The logging mode on your router however is perfectly legal. profoundjed 2 Report post Posted July 13, 2011 I kinda see darius's view. keylogging is a form of hacking i do believe. Blaney i woud recomend just checking browsing history or set parental controlls for certain sites and possibly set a password.
666darius666 13 Report post Posted July 13, 2011 @ darren, i was just making a point here that keylogging shouldnt be happening, seeing that you could get in serious trouble by doing that. its a violation of privacy. i might have sounded a littlebit rude, but i have been keylogged before and i dont really have good memmories of that... (what i meant was that we shouldnt be discussing hacking tools on this forum?)
grindboy 61 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 Pah, Keyloggers aren't real hacking tools. Now what I'd love to get my hands on is a GSM interceptor to intercept mobile phone calls (Joking!) Personally I don't have a problem with hacking and hackers. There is a lot of misinformation about hacking, the current News of the World phone "hacking" scandal is an example of this, the Private Investigators use Social Engineering to get the voicemail passwords not computer hacks this is no more hacking than convincing a bouncer you are 18 to get into a club. I have a hacked original Xbox which I have set up in the front room for iPlayer and YouTube. Now if it is a crime to hack how would I show funny cat videos to my Mum? Hacking is not a crime but sometimes it is used with the intent to cause harm. Keyloggers are also not illegal although their use certainly is in most countries and if I wanted to buy a GSM interceptor it wouldn't be illegal for me to own it (Although if I used it I'm sure the authorities would come down on me like a ton of bricks!). Just thought I'd dispel some FUD See you in Blockspace Michael
