darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted December 15, 2012 Well the holiday time is upon us and what is more in tune with the holidays than Christmas related songs and carols. This is why YAMS will be holding a noteblock song competition. The competition is open right now to all and is located in the north pole and it's easier this year... To apply all you have to do is reply to this post stating what song you wish to make and wait for approval which will be posted in here by a Moderator or Darren. You will need to source the sheet music for your song yourself (but if you ask madrad nicely he may see if he can find it in any sites he uses). Make sure you build it in the correct area, easy to spot and don’t touch last year’s entries or just copy them, it’s a new year so new songs where possible! This competition will run until 18:00 GMT on 24th December. All entries will be judged by Darren and a prize will be given to the winner.

darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 Thank you to everyone that took part in this! Results are in with Brainsss as a second judge to confirm I've made the right choice.[list] [*]In 4[sup]th[/sup] place we have lord_verigan, it was an interesting choice of song but I could not find any sample music to compare it to so at least for me it seemed something was wrong with it, instruments/timing? Also was a little annoying that you had to keep walking back and forth to hear it. But well done for trying. [*]In 3[sup]rd[/sup] place we have namscupcake, simple song that most people can recognise but I definetly think it could have been more upbeat and used more of the song. Well done for trying to give it your best attempt. [*]In 2[sup]nd[/sup] place we have Captain_Marbles, well done good attempt though I would have liked to see it end a little better at end, it kind of stops all of a sudden. [*]And finally in 1[sup]st[/sup] place we have ryanfenton, very good attempt, it’s nice to listen to and easy to hear instead of having to keep wandering back and forth. Well done. [/list] Please contact me all for your prizes!
