darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted May 13, 2013 I've been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 lately, mainly the Mann vs Machine part of it, the Team Fortress video game series has always been one of my favourites so it was a shame that we didn't have enough the other weekend to come and play TF2 with me. So because you wont come and play TF2 with me, I am bringing TF2 to YAMS! This Saturday the 18th of May I will be hosting a few games of Team Fortress 2 in Minecraft, there's no specific times, I will start the map when I think there's enough players for a good game. 2fort gameplay: Suggested team sizes: 6v6 - 12v12 Capture the Flag based. First to score 3 intels or highest score after 15 minutes wins. Dustbowl gameplay: Suggested team sizes: 6v6 - 12v12 Three stages, each with two control points Attackers (Blue team) must capture control points in order Defenders (Red team) are trying to run out the clock before attackers capture both points As you can see the suggested team size is quite high (don't worry I will start with less), which is one of the reasons why I haven't set any specific times along with the fact that game times could vary. With that said, I would still like to gauge interest, so if everyone could post below what times they can make I'll try and start games at those times best for most. You can post in your time as long as you say time zone and I'll convert it to BST (British summer time) myself! Also you'll need a texture pack if you want to fully enjoy the experience: http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ocd-pack/ Once you have downloaded it, to install it: Open minecraft if you haven't already. Go to options. Click Texture packs. Open texture pack folder. Then the file you have just downloaded (don't unzip) move it into this folder. Now find the texture pack in the list and click Done. Of course don't need the texture pack till the day, but it's best to get it before hand. Any questions, ask below, I may or may not answer. And just a heads up, item frame pictures wont show up in the TF2 map when on YAMS because it's not the main world. Just a heads up so you dont bug me on the day saying they not showing up! darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Played this morning with Brainsss, ryan and nams. It was fun though had some class seclection bugs where you would not get all the items. I think I have fixed most of these now (had to redo redstone so would work) except for the spy which would take longer to fix 100%, its just not worth the hassle.
