darrenstraight 2,330 Report post Posted August 18, 2013 am tempted to get ticket for the sunday purely for when they reduce things to get rid of them giving me all day saturday to do whatever and where ever. (provided am not working) will be looking to book hotel soon for the sat night. found a couple near the docklands close to the venue for the con (3 or 4 stops away at most) or if anyone knows anywhere else that might be better as was thinking something bit more central for the saturday might be better and then just drive or tube down to the docklands area for the con. as has been said the con is more of a bonus addition to the trip so might be happier stopping more central as the docklands is quite far out from alot of things. Not sure where you look for hotels, but have you tried booking.com? It's now what use to be ActiveHotels.. http://www.booking.com/ I managed to get a hotel room once for 30 pounds using it, it was right next to the British museum! Though that was in 2007, prices have gone up somewhat now but you can still find a good bargain on it, use the sort by price feature + the map to find places, as one place might be expensive but then just round the corner somewhere really cheap and just as good! Your lucky I'm not in a hotel, because if I was planning I I'd go in the same ones as you's and I'd be a pain in the butt. I'd probably knock on the door and run away... Eat all your bed covers...
