So I'm on 1.7.2 and have zero idea if I can turn it back or if that's even the issue, but the two servers I have (this one and one other which is always up with hundreds online) are appearing offline. ZhonLord 44 Report post Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) When you get to the launcher, select Edit Profile. A separate window should pop up where you can adjust the profile name, version being used, and so on. Once you choose the version you want, hit the "save profile" icon at the bottom right of that popup. If that's what you already tried, then you could also try New Profile. It brings up the profile editor for a new setup that you can save apart from the profile updated to 1.7. You can adjust its name so you know for sure which one it is (these profiles only control the version being used and any mods or HD patchers, it won't change your username or anything) and tell it to use 1.6.4, and it should be locked to that when you save it as a newly created profile. Hope that helps, from what I've looked up the only other ways are to have regularly backed up your data so you can go back and access it freely, or download an older update from somewhere. Not sure when exactly that happened, but everytime I clicked edit profile, it was opening up /behind\ the launcher >_> but yeah.
