As of 1.8, mushrooms can be significantly enlarged using bonemeal. The mushrooms can become so big it is in fact possible to make houses out of them (see video). So, I thought, why not make a mushroom town out of them? With the right techniques, you can make a single house out of several mushrooms. I know it may sound a bit mad, well, very mad, but just picture it! A whole town, full of huge mushrooms!
Please, give your opinions, and say what you think of my idea, and whether or not this is possible on YAMS.

ive already been trying to make giant shrooms in 1.8 X) but what surprised me most is, you can stack all most any food, not mushroom stew though :\

i started experimenting in sp with the giant mushrooms, they only grow on dirt and when they break they give small shrooms
so i made 2 red shrooms on the hill on the left and made a brown shroom watch tower on my pueblo :3

Yo dawg I heard you like mushrooms so we put a mushroom in yaw mushroom so you can mush while you room. XD

Some of the little mushroom houses look nice on YAMS Castaway. Its just a shame that if they get broke, like the creepers, its hard to fix!

Yep, and it's pretty hard to grow them. There has to be nothing in the way of them growing, including the area below the mushroom and one square around the final shape. Learned a lot from maintaining the mushrooms at spawn.

I think that the mushrooms would be better as temporary shelters placed randomly around the mining world so we don't get pwnd by creepers.
