I'm quitting Minecraft for a week or so in hope that i've been playing to often and thats why I cant play now, so hoping this happens or else i'm going to have to dish out some money for a new PC.
Sucks I can't be on Castaway to help out
If staff are greifing does that mean they will be demoted back to members?

As I said above I'll take action as I see fit depending on how severve, its not just griefing its the langauge and total disregard for the rules too.

I don't see why it's got so bad. I enjoy the vanilla style, friendly attitude on this server and if you *want* to grief then there are plenty of free roam servers where anything is acceptable with a quick google search. I've really enjoyed walking around and seeing pairs/groups working together to build/collect etc. Hopefully people will realise what they get with YAMS and stop being silly.

okay so I was getting logs to repair the boat and I've been stuck in ultra lag for 15 minutes now I'm not sure if I had loads of experience orbs and I died and lagged the server out i don't think i died at least. All I wanted to do was help with repairing the boat

I'm really impressed with how far this map has progressed. We now have plenty of houses, cummunity buildings( the bank etc) and an awesome rail-coaster! Of course, there have been one or two issues(griefing and the likes), but we've managed to keep the community together! That's what really matters. So, I'd like to give everyone on the server a well earned pat on the back. Well done chaps!!!!

there is one public building plot left- i have some suggestions. a schoolroom/church( very wild west) or a general store?


also, street names. would make it easier to find people.

weelll a church was one of the first ideas we had and i know bad made a load of stone for it so i'd suggest that

Hello Yams Castaway residents,

I'll start on a good note

As you will all know some rouge sailor recently thought it was a good idea to grief the boat.... fear not the YAMS community have stepped forward and the boat is now back to its former glory (what i remember it to look like atleast) so i would like to thank fugitive_jackel and Neotiger22 for helping with the re-construction of the boat

Now for the bad part

From browsing the forums this weekend whilst been at work i have seen that some members of the community have been disrespectful towards the YAMS rules, regardless whether this is YAMS normal map or YAMS Castaway map, we are still playing on the YAMS server and i expect everyone to abide by the rules which have been enforced since you joined this community.

The rules have been in place for quite some time now and you have all read them so should have a good understanding on what we expect from people and how we expect people to act whilst on the YAMS server/mumble server/forum. If i personally find anyone to be clearly and willingly breaking the rules i will ban this user, it is totally unacceptable and there is no reason for it.

Lets not forget why we are all here, YAMS is a great community and has a excellent community spirit, thats why we are all here! Thats why me along with many others give up some of our time to ensure that the server runs smoothly, aswell as Darren speding his own money providing a server for us all to come together on, he doesnt have to do this but he does this for the sake of the community along with some donations from generous players, the least we can all do is abide by the rules that have been set aside for the server, of course having fun along the way.... thats what minecraft is all about!

Lets all enjoy this experience and work together as the great community that i know we are! so far the work on YAMS Castaway has been excellent! some really great builds been done.

Please anyone, if you see a member breaking the rules, send me or Darren a private message on here and it shall be dealt with accordingly.

Thank you thank you thank you everyone... Ive just checked it out like the way theres now two levels to the back part of the boat makes the wheel stand out better. There was a little bit of damage, maybe endermen? :-O There was a creeper on board... I had to jump of the boat then he jumped off two and carried on following me. Was pretty funny.

Awww don't be scared! Nice to see you still around the forums wating. I'm not sure when bukkit is going to be updated, they are taking a long time this time! I may start to let people on to the temp map.. unfair letting people wait so long... would you like that? You would of course have to read the proper rules in the normal map and go through sandbox process, but at least youd get to know the community more. Let me know!

Its not Hamachi... you just use your Minecraft Client (I asume you've paid for it ?) to connect to the ip address in the forum logo, id have to whitelist you of course first! ;-)
