After passing by Darren's winter wonderland that apparantely is going to be running soon , I just thought of a complete contrast to that, we can create a new town that is in the middle of one of the deserts and turn the land it will be on into an oases, with water, grass, and trees very similar to what we have been analyzing in my AP world history class at school. What do you guys think? It can be a big trade center with a post office, too, simiar to this modern day town:


I don't know if many of you are history buffs, but regardless, I think this could provide some variety to the different YAMS towns.

Beaches are near oceans, this seems like a polar opposite in some ways.

I created a fort in single-player in a desert that I could see myself rebuilding, though some of the materials may be difficult to acquire (I used creative mode).

Although beaches are near the ocean rather than in the desert I'm sure steer was referring to the fact that if the town was established the build styles could turn out to be very similar. However I think that the idea of an 'oasis' town sounds very cool, could possibly be middle eastern 'nomadic' if you get what I mean

I've seen a Minecraft Oasis Town before, I've searched everywhere for it, but no luck!

Oasis in Fallout 3 is waaaayyy in the top of the map. It's buried in mountains, so a bit of a pain, but once you find it you get a neat mission + the potential to get some sweet power armour

As for the town....It sorta looks like we have elements of this town in different areas around YAMS already. :/

There is one corner station that is setup for an oasis town... but we have loads of time and loads of projects to do still in the community of YAMS so Im not rushing this one for now!
