Hello everyone,

Before you all start posting topics and posts saying about the server being down!

I thought I would let you know that I'm already aware of it and looking into it, there may be a slight restore/rollback but we wont know until we can get the server back online - hopefuly soon. From what I can gether at the moment it was probably an overload in activity (breaking/destrying blocks) as the CPU is very high.

Thanks for your patience - I'll update soon.

Update 23/10/2011 @ 19:00: Can't see this being fixed tonight, being a sunday and all. I suggest you go and do something else other than Minecraft and have some fun away from YAMS for a bit! I for one will be watching some films, then I'm off to bed. Also dont forget YAMS Halloween, we have four 20x20 plots and two 48x48 along with a nice space for the haunted mansion! i think this might be more then just yams, everything is down on my end, had the most trouble logging into mc aswell

Nope, I'm able to access other servers, including my own, so seems to be yams.

And wow, this is some long server downtime. I hope the world is ok :/

Server is as stated above back up now, if you are still having problems connecting - it's minecraft.net again, not us!

Its minecraft! i get on the main menu and get on multiplay they it shows connected but no ppl on and i get on and it freezes! Minecraft.net!!!!!

The aunthentication servers are down. We either have to wait until they come back up, or Darren could edit Verify_names: true to be false, and we just run off whitelist access only until they are back up. I'm assuming we'll just stick with the former.

its a setting in the server's info files. it basically turns of account verification with Minecraft.net's servers. And having the whitelist still active means that only named accounts that are on that list could play.

just logged into yams successfully its all back up!
