Introducing the first ever Adventure map from Me and Miro! :P

This is a Multiplayer Map which requires two players to play (because it requires a server to play atm)

The Map is an adventure through Minecraftia as well as the Nether! are you ready to face the Evil? ;)

General Info:

This map requires a server to play as it has 2 world files (a nether world and the normal world) (this is because it was made on a server, if anyone knows how to merge these two files for use in singleplayer either PM me or post below. [would be much appreciated]

The map has 20 hidden diamonds to be found throughout the adventure! can you find them all?

Hope you have fun and enjoy! :P

I'll have to give this a try

EDIT: Can you make a little tutorial telling what to do to play it? Do you need to rename the maps to "world" and "world_nether"? Or am I just being stupid? ;)

Thanks,
Dale

hey dale ;)

Short version:
Basically because it has two world files it requires at least a minecraft vanilla server to run

no renaming is needed, just copy the world files into the same folder as your server folder (if you have one) and change the properties for the level name to
"level-name=Minecraft_Adventure" or "level-name=world" if you did rename it. once the text file is changed save and close it, then run the server with the .bat file! B)

all you have to do then is load your minecraft.exe go to multiplayer and type in "localhost" and press Connect :P (only works if your server is up and the time)

Long Version:
If you do not have a vanilla server but still want to play this, I will make a tutorial below

But caution this is only for playing this map and others like it (with 2 world files) it is likely you will NOT be able to have others join you
on the server (just stick to YAMS  )

1. Go to Minecraft.net and scroll down the page

2. Download 'Minecraft_Server.exe'

3. Move the .exe into a new folder named something like 'Server'

4. Run the .exe and press 'Allow access' if windows security pops up (trust me this is normal, no threat)

5. If you look in your server folder, this should of added the necessary files.

6. delete the .exe having closed it with the 'stop' command (type 'stop' into the bottom text box and press enter, then delete the .exe)

7. Then download 'minecraft_server.jar' and replace it with the old .exe file by copying it into the new server folder

8. Create a text document, open it and paste "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar" into it

9. having saved the text document rename it to "Launcher.bat" NOT "Launcher.bat.txt" you are changing the type of file too, just rename it "Launcher.bat" and hopefully for you your computer will ask if you want to change the file type.

10. Copy the Minecraft_Adventure & Minecraft_Adventure_Nether folders into the server folder

11. open the "server.properties" file in notepad and change the level name to "level-name=Minecraft_Adventure" and put mobs on by changing
"spawn-monsters=false" to true if not already then save the notepad and close it.

12. Run Launcher.bat and the server should start, give it a second to load up and wait till it says 'done' then login to the server from your minecraft.exe by typing in "localhost" and pressing 'Connect'

and remember, the YAMS IP address is at the top of the forum page! :D
so you can always get back on :P

and presto! Enjoy the map
