The Million Dollar Home Page
Alex Tew, 21, of Cricklade, Wiltshire who will be going to university this year studying business management has launched a page called The Million Dollar Homepage (milliondollarhomepage.com) in which he’s selling ad space on it, ok nothing new there you would think, but think again, because he’s selling it off in 10×10 pixel blocks, with each pixel costing $1 and with a minimum purchase of $100 (100 pixels).
Alex originally came up with the idea after deciding that he didn’t want to end up like one of his three older brothers that left university owing £30,000.
If his site succeeds, he will leave university with $1m (£543,615).
I wish Alex all of luck with university and I hope his site turns out to be a successful one as I myself have already brought a little space there!

Check out http://www.PixelAds4All.com – they offer a FREE 100 by 100 pixel “tool tip image” with the purchase of your ad, which acts like a billboard for your site! They are also currently offering their pixels for 50% off, or $50 USD for a 100 pixel block.

My hat goes off to Alex Tew, he certainly found a unique idea to sell ad space. I actually took his idea one step further… selling ad space by the BYTE! There are so many “pixel pushers” out there now that I needed to put a spin on the pixel advertising concept. Check out http://www.buckabyte.com
