MSN Messenger 7.5 beta closed!
I have now received official confirmation in an email from Msn that the beta test for MSN Messenger 7.5 beta has now closed and that MSN Messenger 7.5 has now been released to the public.
Here’s a copy of the email I received:
Dear Darren,
Thank you for beta testing MSN Messenger 7.5! We appreciate your tremendous efforts to help us improve the product. The amount of great feedback that you submitted exceeded even our most optimistic expectations.
At this time we would like to inform you that the beta has come to a close. We are aware that this was a short beta but are excited to be shipping a new version to all customers. Here is what you can expect to happen next:
MSN Messenger 7.5 has been released to the public. You can get the released build at http://www3.imagine-msn.com/messenger/default2.aspx?locale=en-gb
The bug form has been closed.
The newsgroups will remain open until further notice but will not be monitored as frequently.
A post beta survey has been posted on Connect. Please take a moment to fill it out.It is important to us that you understand how much you contributed to the quality of the product. Here is a list of top issues that you found during the beta which have been fixed for the final release:
The World Clocks dynamic background had numerous issues such as incorrect time, poor layout and it consumed too much resources. This background was completely redesigned for the final release.
The connection status displayed the wrong wireless network. Fixed
Emoticons looked malformed in the emoticon menu. Fixed
The ability to send unlimited nudges when your status was set to Busy. Fixed
Dynamic Display Pictures were lost after installing 7.5. Fixed
MSN Today would show the wrong user. Fixed
The ‘Add a Contact’ link did not fit into the Main Window layout. Fixed
The ‘Sign In’ button disappeared when the window was resized too small. Fixed
User is not warned when Caps Lock in enabled. Fixed
…and numerous othersAs with all betas, we were not able to address all of your feedback in this release. Don’t be discouraged! The MSN Messenger team is committed to delivering not only high quality software but software rich in new features. Many good feature suggestions were submitted during this beta. In our effort to delivering great new features we will continue to review and evaluate your suggestions as part of the development process for future versions.

Yes you are right it was released to the public last month but at that time we could still submit bugs and we beta testers were unaware if msn would release another version for us to beta test, in the end they did not, so I guess that’s why we received that official email saying that beta testing has now ended!

I have removed them because they are codes that I still have yet to use but will soon!
