Amy, the code for the briefcase is behind the professors desk on the bookshelves. Count the green book and that will give you the digits to unlock it.

The second shelf down, however many books there are on that one is the second number on the briefcase, and the amount of green books on the bottom shelf is the third number on the breifcase. is that any help?

kate June 13, 2006 at 10:48 pm

lady Hx you need 3 symbols to open the box’s i would go back to the puzzle pages and see what symbol your’ve missed out on will be able to tell where your symbols are in the grid match the puzzle the first 3 on grid is larger box the next three is the small box, and it says at the end to be continued so must be another puzzle after this one .

Deb June 14, 2006 at 11:00 pm

What is the link between the poem, the lake and the number…really starting to do my head in now!!

vicki June 14, 2006 at 11:23 pm

deb, remind me of the question she asks… I did that one a couple of hours ago.

Deb June 14, 2006 at 11:35 pm

“There must be a connection between the place, the name of the poem and one of the numbers”. The poem is Dreamland and the place is Groom Lake. Can’t see a connection though…

Am also stuck in Q8 and the ear connection which is something to do with “listening to the sky”

vicki June 14, 2006 at 11:44 pm

Do you want solutions or a hint?!

Deb June 14, 2006 at 11:47 pm

Try a hint first!! Although it is late so I may not get it!!!

vicki June 14, 2006 at 11:50 pm

Ha ha know how you feel that damn chess one is getting on my nerves!

OK, well I actually cheated on that one and clicked every square in turn I think, but that lake is near a famous ‘aria’ connected to roswell….

Can’t do a subtle hint for that bonkers listening thing – just whack in ‘big ear’ – I think thats it.

Good luck! I could get to sleep if it wasn’t for this pesky meddling quiz.

Deb June 14, 2006 at 11:54 pm

Thanks – will give that a go!

For the chess one, you need to go onto:

http://spaces.msn.com/hiddenhistory/

One of the blogs contains a link to a chess website. Make a note of the details in the blo such as who played what colour etc and then enter all that info onto the linked page. Click on the last move and have a look at where the King is.
