It\u2019s time to celebrate 25 years of Super Mario<\/em>, one of gaming\u2019s most loved series\u2019 of all time.<\/p>\n

In the quarter of a century since legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto\u2019s team put the finishing touches to his first major adventure, Super Mario Bros<\/em>. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Mario has become one of the most globally recognised characters in the world of entertainment.<\/p>\n

He traverses languages, ages and cultural barriers and today, the Super Mario<\/em>\u00a0Bros<\/em>. series is the best-selling video game series of all time, with more than 240 million units sold globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Super <\/em>Mario series of games are touchpoints of technological gaming innovation.\u00a0 It was the 2D side scrolling adventure Super Mario Bros<\/em>. on the NES that took platform gaming a leap further than it had gone before.\u00a0 We freely explored a 3D gaming world for the first time in Super Mario 64<\/em>.\u00a0 And in Super Mario Galaxy 1 <\/em>and 2, <\/em>we\u2019ve seen 3D gaming extend into mind-boggling gravity-defying adventures.<\/em><\/p>\n

You can rest assured that it will be Mario who takes us on brand new adventures in the future.<\/p>\n
