Its height is 978 metres (3,209 ft) and it is located in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. Now it may not be as high as a lot of mountains out there, but it&#8217;s something I&#8217;ve always wanted to do! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>So if anyone has any tips, id really appreictae it.<\/p>\n<p>Also if there&#8217;s anything else in and around the Cumbria area I should be taking a look at please let me know.<\/p>\n<p>We already have plans for Wast Water:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Wast Water<\/strong> or <strong>Wastwater<\/strong> is a <a title=\"Lake\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake\">lake<\/a> located in <a title=\"Wasdale\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wasdale\">Wasdale<\/a>, a valley in the western part of the <a title=\"Lake District National Park\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake_District_National_Park\">Lake District National Park<\/a>, <a title=\"England\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/England\">England<\/a>. The lake is approximately 4.6 <a title=\"Kilometre\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kilometre\">kilometres<\/a> (almost 3 <a title=\"Mile\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mile\">miles<\/a>) long and 600 <a title=\"Metre\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metre\">metres<\/a> (more than a third of a <a title=\"Mile\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mile\">mile<\/a>) wide. It is the deepest lake in England<sup id=\"cite_ref-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wast_water#cite_note-0\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> at 79 <a title=\"Metre\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metre\">metres<\/a> (258 feet), and is owned by the <a title=\"National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Trust_for_Places_of_Historic_Interest_or_Natural_Beauty\">National Trust<\/a>. It is one of the finest examples of a glacially &#8216;over-deepened&#8217; valley. The surface of the lake is about 200\u00a0feet above sea level, while its bottom is over 50\u00a0feet below sea level.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0And lake Windermere:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Windermere<\/strong> is the largest natural <a title=\"Lake\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake\">lake<\/a> in <a title=\"England\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/England\">England<\/a>. It is a <a title=\"Ribbon lake\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ribbon_lake\">ribbon lake<\/a> formed in a glacial trough after the retreat of ice at the start of the current <a title=\"Interglacial\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Interglacial\">interglacial<\/a>. It has been one of the country\u2019s most popular places for holidays and summer homes since 1847, when the <a title=\"Kendal and Windermere Railway\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kendal_and_Windermere_Railway\">Kendal and Windermere Railway<\/a> built a branch line to it. It is in the county of <a title=\"Cumbria\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cumbria\">Cumbria<\/a> and entirely within the <a title=\"Lake District\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake_District\">Lake District National Park<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the mean time I&#8217;ll carry on with my weekend walks. Last week we did 11 and a bit miles walking as part of the <a title=\"Darent Valley Path\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Darent_Valley_Path\">Darent Valley Path<\/a>. around\u00a0Shoreham, Lullingstone and\u00a0Otford.
