{"id":543,"date":"2006-03-30T17:41:40","date_gmt":"2006-03-30T17:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.darrenstraight.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/30\/wordpress-widgets-plugin-wpw\/"},"modified":"2006-03-30T18:44:01","modified_gmt":"2006-03-30T18:44:01","slug":"wordpress-widgets-plugin-wpw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.darrenstraight.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/30\/wordpress-widgets-plugin-wpw\/","title":{"rendered":"WordPress Widgets Plugin (WPW)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The WordPress Widgets Plugin (WPW) is now available for download well that is once WordPress site is back up, just before I was going to post this I refreshed the WordPress.org page I had open and it noticed it now said &#8220;WordPress.org is taking a lunch break.&#8221; it&#8217;s been like that for quite a while now but yeah I&#8217;ve finally decided to submit this post anyway hoping that it will be up again soon, cross your fingers.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/automattic.com\/code\/widgets\/\">Widgets<\/a> are an easy way for you to arrange and rearrange your sidebar to your hearts content without touching a line of code. We first launched WordPress Widgets (WPW) it on WordPress.com a month ago and <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.com\/blog\/2006\/02\/25\/wordpress-widgets\/\">the response<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/07\/recent-widgets\/\">was<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/10\/more-widgets\/\">great<\/a>. Now we&#8217;re ready to release the plugin to the world.
