{"id":638,"date":"2006-05-15T23:38:21","date_gmt":"2006-05-15T22:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.darrenstraight.com\/blog\/2006\/05\/15\/windows-live-session-uk-2-tomorrow\/"},"modified":"2006-06-03T14:16:58","modified_gmt":"2006-06-03T13:16:58","slug":"windows-live-session-uk-2-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.darrenstraight.com\/blog\/2006\/05\/15\/windows-live-session-uk-2-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows Live Session UK 2 Tomorrow!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow I will be attending the Second Windows Live Session to be held in London this year, I enjoyed the first one and I&#8217;m sure I will enjoy this one just as much!<\/p>\n<p>I live in the south east of the UK in Kent so London isn&#8217;t far for me to travel so I will probably arrive in London at about 9:00 am or so tomorrow and will do some sightseeing, I will probably either visit the British Museum or the Imperial War Museum.<\/p>\n<p>And later in the afternoon I will be meeting up with <a href=\"http:\/\/xo.typepad.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/britains_king_o.html\">Robert Gale<\/a>\u00a0owner of <a href=\"http:\/\/xo.typepad.com\/\">A Welsh View<\/a>\u00a0for some drinks and some chatting,\u00a0I\u00a0was also going to meet up with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kbcafe.com\/iBLOGthere4iM\/?guid=20050819103114\">Miel Van Opstal<\/a> (a.k.a. Coolz0r) who writes <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.coolz0r.com\/\">Coolz0r Marketing Thoughts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But as I was talking to him about meeting up\u00a0before the session\u00a0began I was asked\u00a0by Romain at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heaven.fr\/\">heaven.fr<\/a> if I would like to interview\u00a0Phil Holden the Windows Live Director and koji a Group Program Manager for live.com primarily focused on building up a developer community and eco system around the Windows Live platform.<\/p>\n<p>This meant that I had to tell Coolz0r that I wouldent be able to meet up because I wouldent have time before hand as I would have to arrive at the session a little earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Coolz0r said told me not to worrie which was nice of him, though it wouldent really have been practical to meet up anyway as he will be leaving brussels at 16.01 and arriving at waterloo at 17.26, not leaving much time for him to check in at the hotel and arrive at the session for 18:30.<\/p>\n<p>I also invited Sarah Blow to meet up with me and Rob but she can&#8217;t come as she has to run &#038; organise the <a href=\"http:\/\/geekswithblogs.net\/waterbaby\/archive\/2006\/05\/03\/77136.aspx\">6th London Girl Geek Dinner<\/a>\u00a0on the same day as the windows live session tomorrow\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Ok and that&#8217;s about it ohh actually there is one last thing, I just wanted to say thanks again to Coolz0r for inviting Kris Hoet the msn marketing\u00a0manager to take a look at my blog so kris if you are reading this, feel free to leave a comment if we havent already talked at the session! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darrenstraight.com\/blog\/2006\/05\/16\/windows-live-session-uk-2\/\">Details about the event<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow I will be attending the Second Windows Live Session to be held in London this year, I enjoyed the first one and I&#8217;m sure I will enjoy this one just as much!
