Sweet I just got My Bloggy Award Review<\/a> with an Overall Experience rating of 9\/10, which isn’t too bad at all if you ask me, and even though the rating is quite high I truly believe that I do need to improve my spelling and grammatical sentences when writing my posts.<\/p>\n

I’ve been looking back at some of the really old posts and I’m quite shocked at some of my writing.<\/p>\n

Though I guess I have to remember that I started this blog to improve my English Writing having gathered my English wasn’t up to scratch after living and attending Spanish school in Spain for nine years from the age of 10 to 19.<\/p>\n

But I’m getting better and always have people who are grateful to me by pointing out spelling mistakes here and there, hopefully I won’t lose my Spanish though because Spanish is a great language to have in ones possession as a first or second language.<\/p>\n

Anyhow enough rambling here’s the Bloggy Award Review:<\/p>\n

Darren Straight’s Blog<\/a>
\n<\/strong>
\nTechnology buff Darren Straight<\/em> shares his views and comments on the latest news re: Microsoft<\/strong> products and services. He talks (and to links articles<\/em>) about other topics as well such as engineering, science news and his life in general.<\/p>\n

Visual Aesthetics – 9
\n<\/strong>
\nThis site has an excellent minimalist lay-out: simple, no-frills and well-organized for easy and direct reading. The lists of archives, categories, links and other information are all placed on the right side so all you have to do is scroll down to see what you’re looking for. Plus points for the two-column arrangement. The less is more<\/em> principle truly applies to this blog’s design.<\/p>\n

User Friendliness – 9
\n<\/strong>
\nWhile the font used is very easy to read, Darren still installed a readability option so you can choose to enlarge or reduce the size of the text. The categories are alphabetically listed, with generic topics for easier searching.<\/p>\n

Reading Enjoyment – 9
\n<\/strong>
\nTech and science fanatics will truly enjoy this site. The pictures and links imbedded in the articles make reading the entries a cool and informational ride.<\/p>\n

Useful Info – 9
\n<\/strong>
\nThere is no shortage of links to related tech sites and previous entries. Almost every entry has images attached so readers don’t have to search further to see what the subject looks like. While long sentences and grammar slips by at times, the general writing style is simple and direct. Technologically-challenged visitors need not waste more brain cells just to comprehend.<\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/u> – 9

\nWith very minor improvements needed, top-notch user friendliness<\/em> and loads of the latest technological info, this blog is a great read whether you’re a techie<\/em> or just a bored internet junkie<\/em>. Congratulations to Darren.<\/p>\n
