Windows Package Installer 6.2 Beta Program is LIVE!

Look’s like the Windows Package Installer 6.2 beta is now live after I received the following email confirming it’s status.

Dear Package Installer 6.2 beta tester,

The Windows Package Installer 6.2 beta is now live! We are starting with about
5000 testers and expect the beta to run for about a month. If you have not
already done so, visit , sign in with your Passport
account, and take a few minutes to complete the EULA and review the information
on the Installer 6.2 Beta Program Welcome page and linked pages. During the
beta, we may post additional information on the various linked pages and in the
installerbeta.announcements newsgroup. I recommend that you review these
periodically.

The Beta Testing Kit that you will require for this beta is now available on the
Download page under Related Links. The Testing Kit contains:
1) The special registry Install and Remove files
2) Instructions for using the registry files
3) Test scenarios for you to refer to during this beta

A private newsgroup is available for you to post comments, concerns, and
questions about the beta. If you have not already set up newsgroup access,
information is available via the Support link. If you encounter a significant
problem or concern, submit it on a Bug Report form. The Support team will
evaluate all bug reports and assign them to the appropriate team members for
resolution.

If you have any questions about the beta, please do not hesitate to contact me
at directly at [Email removed] I look forward to working with you on
this interesting beta.

Warm regards,

Roger Holland
Beta Manager
