Installed Lush Theme for WordPress

I was going to wait until the anniversary of my blog which is also my birthday, to change to another wordpress theme for my blog but I just found out that the blog theme Lush for Typo has now been ported to wordpress so I guess it was something I couldn’t resist so I installed it and I must say it’s looking pretty good, I hope you all agree!

If you don’t like it let me know, but please note that there are some things I must fix still! πŸ™‚

Features This theme has a lot of features that set it apart from the majority of free weblog templates:

  • 100% custom design. Every pixel was designed especially for this theme. That means all graphics are unique.
  • extensive browser support including IE5/5.5’s broken box model
  • Special graphical notice for users of IE5/5.5 encouraging them to upgrade their browser. It’s only visible when using one of these browsers.
  • alternating trackback styles
  • print stylesheet for perfect article printing
  • customized live search
  • customized table-less comment form
  • customized categories page
  • various script.aculo.us visual effect enhancements
  • adjustable font size for improved readability
  • full gravatar support including a fallback default gravatar that fits with the theme
  • XHTML 1.0 Strict
  • A nice easter egg
  • Builtin support for Ultimate Tag Warrior, Gravatar, flickRSS and time since.
  • Support for WordPress Widgets

It looks fancier than the old one. πŸ™‚
Nice!

None of the gadets on the side work anymore:

– Shoutbox
– Links
etc

Other than that nice theme

Couldn’t agree more Andrew, thanks! πŸ˜€

And Ryan yes I know, I first want to find important bugs that cause problems before actually personalising this theme, just in case I start personalising and then find out it has major bugs, but thanks anyhow! πŸ™‚

Bug 1: LiveSearch redirects to main homepage when the enter key is pressed on the keyboard! (solved)

The text is screwed up on this Firefox browser. I don’t think it’s the most up to date one, but I thought I’d just drop a comment – it looks like text normally does in a really bad quality image. πŸ™‚

Is it already time to remove the lush theme from my blog? » Darren Straight’s Blog May 7, 2006 at 5:46 pm

[…] I canÒ€ℒt believe I’m asking my self the question “Is it already time to remove the lush theme from my blog?” after only installing it exactly a week ago, but the truth is that soon I may just have to remove it. […]

Hey all — was hoping that someone could clue me in on a total n00b CSS issue:

I’m trying to customize the Random Image Theme for WordPress, and I’m running into a small — but *incredibly annoying* — problem.

I’m trying to make the background of the content area white. The background of navigation column that runs down the right side is not plain white (FFFFFF). Rather Photoshop’s color picker claims that it’s F9F9F9 — but this isn’t anywhere in the style.css file. There is a .alt that has a background set at F8F8F8, but when I change that to FFFFFF, it doesn’t help.

Where is that shading coming from?

many thanks…
