Frucall to be releasing new features for August 2006
Remember my recent post about Frucall the new US Web 2.0 Service which will allow you to find the comparision of shopping prices by calling 1-888-DO-FRUCALL and typing in or reading the product’s barcode number to the system which will then search the product on Amazon.com, Yahoo! Shopping and Streetprices.com and will return the pricing results within ten or so seconds.
Well I can now exclusively reveal that some improvements are taking place and that we should hopefully be able to see these new improvements in Frucall sometime this week, but for now here’s a rundown of what it will hopefully include:
Purchase Now
Registered Frucall users will soon also be able to order items directly on the phone from Amazon’s authorized merchants. Just select the “Buy this item” option after you have listened to the items current online prices. Users will be guided through a simple process to confirm payment and delivery details. Once a User Profile is updated with credit card purchasing information on Frucall’s secure server, users can use this feature. There will be no surcharges or additional costs to use Frucall to purchase items.
Frucall PriceTextSM
Also in addition to hearing online prices, merchants and other details on a mobile phone, registered users will be able to choose to receive the same information as a text message with Frucall PriceTextSM. So there will be no need to write information down or remember it, just press the number associated with PriceTextSM and an SMS message will be immediately sent to the Frucall user’s mobile phone.
Frucall Buddy Lists
Also last but not least another nice feature will be that registered Frucall users will be able to send Voice and Text Messages to friends, families and groups in their Buddy List. To do this all you have to do is login to your My Frucall page, go to the Messaging with Friends section and list the phone numbers of the friends you want to include. So the next time you want to send your Buddy List a recorded voice or text message you can do so easily, anywhere or anytime! This feature will be free and only the normal carrier charges apply to receiving text messages.
