Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta Build 8.0.1034 is now available for download, but as always make sure you have signed up for the Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta on ideas.live.com or have asked me for an invite to it or you wont be able to access it.

Here is just a small list of the latest and greatest updates to this version of Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta:

• TONS of Bug Fixes – Since the last Beta refresh build, the team has fixed
  over 1000 issues – including many which were reported by our customers
  (THANK YOU!).
• Performance Improvements – Customers will again see improved performance
  with the latest build, including a faster sign-in!
• Virus scanning – We’ve made some improvements to our Virus scanning of
  message attachments so we can remove any potential viruses before the user
  opens it.
• Photo E-Mail Updates – You’ve been asking for it, and now you have it –
  sending photo e-mail through POP accounts has been added in the latest
  build!
• Change the color of your folders – With the latest build, you can now
  customize the color of your mail folders per account.  All you have to do is
  right click on a folder or the account name, and choose “Set Color”!
• Improvements to Contact Importing – If there is a suspected duplicate
  contact while importing, we will provide customers with the option of
  merging the data into one contact.
• Better Update Notifications – Customers will now be able to opt-in to use
  Automatic Updates to receive notice of any updates to the product.
