HP announces the launch of the Compaq Mini 110c

HP yesterday unveiled the latest addition to its growing portfolio of stylish and ultra light mini PCs, the Compaq Mini 110c. Building on HP’s successful Compaq Mini 700, the sleekly-designed yet affordable Compaq Mini 110c is set to deliver a rich set of computing features while enabling users to access the Internet at home or on-the-go.

The Compaq Mini 110c features an exquisite casing adorned with HP’s durable high-gloss Imprint finish available in the striking black checked design of Unity. Weighing just 1.17kg (with 3-cell battery) and under 33mm thin, the Compaq Mini 110c offers users a slender design to accompany its eye-catching exterior.

Thanks to a built-in webcam and microphone, WLAN and optional WWAN, the Compaq Mini extends social networking opportunities and takes video chat and video conferencing from the home to places like the park, the café or the airport. Together with its 10.1-inch diagonal BrightView display, a large (92 percent of full size) keyboard, 3 USB ports and a 5-in-1 card reader, users are afforded everything they need to comfortably access the web for information, communication and entertainment, anywhere at anytime.

This impressive features line-up is enhanced by the latest Intel Atom processor and a 160GB hard drive, to ensure users plenty of power and storage for movies, music and files on-the-go. In addition, visual performance is delivered by the Intel GMA 950 (UMA) graphics and optional HD Video Accelerator, adding to a package of attributes that is sure to see the notebook raise the eyebrows of consumers – in particular highly mobile, Internet-centric users, students and young urban professionals.

The Compaq Mini 110c will be available in the UK from August 2009 at a recommended street price starting at £279.
