Samsung has officially launched its first Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC), dubbed the Q1 that is essentially a cross between a laptop and a PDA.

With the Ultra Mobile PC you will be able to write with a touch pen on the screen, play movies and games and stay connected to the Internet through wireless hotspots.

And this isn’t all you can do because the Ultra Mobile PC runs the Windows XP Tablet PC operating system so you will be able to use it just like a pc.

The Q1, priced at $1,099, will go on sale May 7 at Best Buy and at other retail outlets.
