Windows Live Messenger 8 Beta available as public download

Microsoft today announced that the new Windows Live Messenger Beta is now available broadly to the public for download at the Windows Live Ideas Web site.

But hasn’t it already been available as a public download for some while now, well yes and no because the download was public but you still needed an invite but now you don’t need an invite to try it out, just download and play!
