Windows Live Session UK 2 Tomorrow!

Tomorrow I will be attending the Second Windows Live Session to be held in London this year, I enjoyed the first one and I’m sure I will enjoy this one just as much!

I live in the south east of the UK in Kent so London isn’t far for me to travel so I will probably arrive in London at about 9:00 am or so tomorrow and will do some sightseeing, I will probably either visit the British Museum or the Imperial War Museum.

And later in the afternoon I will be meeting up with Robert Gale owner of A Welsh View for some drinks and some chatting, I was also going to meet up with Miel Van Opstal (a.k.a. Coolz0r) who writes Coolz0r Marketing Thoughts.

But as I was talking to him about meeting up before the session began I was asked by Romain at heaven.fr if I would like to interview Phil Holden the Windows Live Director and koji a Group Program Manager for live.com primarily focused on building up a developer community and eco system around the Windows Live platform.

This meant that I had to tell Coolz0r that I wouldent be able to meet up because I wouldent have time before hand as I would have to arrive at the session a little earlier.

Coolz0r said told me not to worrie which was nice of him, though it wouldent really have been practical to meet up anyway as he will be leaving brussels at 16.01 and arriving at waterloo at 17.26, not leaving much time for him to check in at the hotel and arrive at the session for 18:30.

I also invited Sarah Blow to meet up with me and Rob but she can’t come as she has to run & organise the 6th London Girl Geek Dinner on the same day as the windows live session tomorrow 🙂

Ok and that’s about it ohh actually there is one last thing, I just wanted to say thanks again to Coolz0r for inviting Kris Hoet the msn marketing manager to take a look at my blog so kris if you are reading this, feel free to leave a comment if we havent already talked at the session! 😉

Update: Details about the event

So why isn’t the windows session AT the 6th London Girl Geek Dinner? 🙂

Romain May 16, 2006 at 10:18 am

We can try that 😉 – that’s not that bad an idea

Haha The Polar Bear pub it is then, hope it’s ok with Sarah, I’ll have to ask her! 🙂

Sarah May 18, 2006 at 7:58 am

Well… you could come along to a girly geek dinner with the live guys but you would have to adhere to the rules of engagement… You have to bring a girly geek with you or have an invite from a girly geek who is attending the event. I can’t bend the rules unfortunately!

We would be happy to have Phil Holden at one of our events… and I would be more than happy to grill him in public 😉 Expect techie questions 😉

So what actually happened at the live session?

Darren Straight May 19, 2006 at 12:29 am

Haha of course we will adhere to the rules of engagement, and Mmmm grilled Phil, I wonder what that tastes like! 😉

Ok so what actually happened at the event, well quite a lot actually, for starters we got to watch Koji Kato teach us some developing with windows live, and then Phil Holden showed us Live QnA, and then last but not least Phil showed us a new windows live mobile messenger app for his mobile phone where you could submit images and voice clips to an online contact from your camera or microphone in your mobile phone, so that was pretty cool.

We also saw some new imagery of London, which went live yesterday.

And loads more!

Hey Kris yeah we only spoke briefly, I was going to talk to talk to you at one point but you were busy talking with someone else so I though I wouldn’t but in, next time I may have to though! 😉

And hey your welcome!

Télécharger Minecraft Premium Gratuit November 15, 2013 at 10:49 am

This means there is no mystery why the gaming corporations are
obtaining massive amounts of money through them.
The premium Beta version of Minecraft is actually fantastic.
One reason for this is that it is pretty retro when contrasted to
the majority of other choices you could choose from.
