There’s no official confirmation or press release yet but apparently Microsoft has acquired Web analytics vendor DeepMetrix. DeepMetrix’s technology is a head-to-head competitor with Google Analytics, the Urchin technology that Google acquired in March 2005. I wonder when Microsoft will tell us there plans! Looks like the Windows Live Product Search Beta has launched, the Windows Live Product Search allows users to search through products offered by 10,000 resellers but unfortunately it’s only available for the United States market at the moment as it’s still in beta so if you are not from the United States and you would still like to test it
