There’s no official confirmation or press release yet but apparently Microsoft has acquired Web analytics vendor DeepMetrix. DeepMetrix’s technology is a head-to-head competitor with Google Analytics, the Urchin technology that Google acquired in March 2005.

I wonder when Microsoft will tell us there plans!
